Amber Hulse is a student at the University of South Dakota earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Non-Profit Studies. She is an honors student, a Senator in the SGA, and Vice President of Marketing for Pi Sigma Epsilon. She hopes to one day attend law school to earn a Juris Doctorate. Her dream is to represent the state of South Dakota in Washington, D.C. as a member of Congress. 
Amber works with youth encouraging them to pursue higher education and serves as a mentor through her own non-profit called "Operation Overload: A Confidential Career Briefing." Through this non-profit organization, Amber provides resources to youth concerning opportunities in postsecondary education and career planning. She was honored to be selected Miss South Dakota 2019 and enjoyed competing at the nationally televised Miss America 2020 competition. Amber is excited to continue an extended reign as Miss South Dakota (MAO).
