The Australian Greens Senator Janet Rice admitted that her criticism of Israeli policies during a Senate motion to honour the assassinated Israeli PM Itzhak Rabin e”h was badly timed and clumsy but, she fell short of offering an actual apology.

The ECAJ thanked the Australian Government and Foreign Minister Maris Payne for opposing 5 anti-Israel resolutions at the UN General Assembly and heard the minister reaffirm the government’s stand on opposing one sided anti-Israel resolutions, her praise of the Abraham accords, honouring of Holocaust survivors and continuation of ever closer ties with Israel.
