The health care mandate is being legally challenged and has made it to the U.S. Supreme Court. Many school districts are taking a wait and see posture. However, the law requires a number of actions by school business officials that may be difficult meet at the last minute. Since the law includes fines and punishments for noncompliance we asked two experts to provide guidance on how to best deal with the current uncertainty.



Keith Friede is a leading authority on employee benefits and human resources regulatory requirements and has been a leader in developing total rewards strategy in the context of healthcare reforms 2014 employer shared responsibility requirements and state exchanges. David Bein is the chief fiscal officer at East Maine School District 63.
