Directed by Kenny Ortega and written by Peter Barsocchini "High School Musical" (2006) is an extremely successful Disney channel original about a popular high school athlete and an academically gifted girl who get roles in their school's musical and develop a friendship that threatens East High's social order that stars Zac Efron, Vannessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, and Corbin Bleu. In this highly requested listener episode we discuss our thoughts on musicals, its similarities with Grease (1978), dig into trivia, and talk the songs we liked the most and which ones not so much.
