If you are experiencing this at moment, know that there are stages of accepting this - shock, anger, rationalizing what happened, and finally complete acceptance. Remember to be kind to yourself as you go through these different stages of acceptance. Turn it into something positive. As cliche as it sounds, if a door closes, some windows do open.
