One of the highest-scoring international rugby union players of all time — one of just seven men to top 1,000 career international test points and Romania’s all-time most capped player with 128 national team appearances across 16 years, featuring at three consecutive Rugby World Cups — Florin Vlaicu joins me on Seb Talks Sports! Florin describes the pride he felt making his debut for the Oaks at just 19 years of age, matching up with and slotting home a penalty against the All Blacks at the 2007 Rugby World Cup at 21, THAT incredible comeback effort against Canada in 2015 in which he converted a 78th-minute penalty to hand Romania just their sixth win in the tournament’s history, the country’s disappointing disqualification from the 2019 tournament, joining all-time greats Dan Carter, Jonny Wilkinson, Neil Jenkins, Ronan O’Gara, Owen Farrell and Diego Dominguez in the four-figure club as a self-taught kicker, and much more!
