Longevity annuities can be a useful tool in retirement planning. In line with this, the 2019 federal budget allowed for the purchase of advanced life deferred annuities (ALDAs). A recently completed CIA research paper takes a closer look at longevity annuities and how they fit in with Canada’s tax rules and retirement system.
