:: ::

This week's case is brutal and it's one of those episodes where we have to issue a warning... We discuss neonaticide, which is defined as the ‘deliberate act of a parent murdering their own child during the first 24 hours of life.’

There will also be brief mentions of stillbirth and termination of pregnancy.

If this is likely to be particularly upsetting for you, please do skip this one...

Hannah Cobley was in her late twenties in 2017 and living with her young child on her parent’s farm in Stoney Stanton, a large village in the county of Leicestershire. Working as a driver for her father’s haulage company, Hannah’s world was relatively small. She lived with her parents, worked for her father and any spare time she had was spent helping out on the family farm. Hannah was relatively quiet and preferred to keep herself to herself. Some would even go as far to say she was secretive. But no one could have imagined the secret she was keeping when she went on a family trip to Skegnes in April 2017.

In a matter of days, Hannah's world would come crashing down...

Title inspired by the poem 'Precious Little One' - Author Unknown.

Thoughts and prayers with the loved one's of the precious little one featured in today's episode...
