Biography
Alireza Malehmir is professor and senior lecturer at Uppsala University. He holds expertise as a controlled source seismologist, mining geophysicist, and applied geophysicist. He serves as vice-chair of the EAGE Near-Surface Geoscience Division and has been a guest editor for GEOPHYSICS and Interpretation.

Dr. Malehmir led a Geoscientists Without Borders project focused on quick-clay, or rapid Earth flow landslides in Sweden. Learn more at http://bit.ly/2uKH7Gz. He has a PhD in geophysics from Uppsala University.
