Welcome to Self-Evident and Forgotten, a podcast on the truths of liberty and odd opinions! Hosted by Stanton, Kristi, and Cody, we explore the beautiful ideas often forgotten today that have given life to a free, peaceful, and prosperous society.

In today's episode we dive into something we touched upon a couple of episodes ago. James Madison and other Federalists argued that writing down the natural rights the government was obligated to protect would create a dangerous precedent. The danger? By writing it down, you limit the right, and you create a culture that says you only have a right if it's written down. We see how strong that argument really is, only here on Self Evident and Forgotten.
