Yet another Fight Island card is here.

To be honest, the quality drop off for this one is quite predominant. Though I’m still giving the UFC a round of applause for putting the effort in to hold these events during this shit time.

                                           Story Lines

The main event will see a re-match against Deiveson Figueiredo and Joseph Benavidez. In fight #1 we seen Benavidez as the pace setter and unanimous round 1 winner, until a clash of heads caused a significant cut above Benavidez hairline. This shifted game plan and let the oversized, “power” puncher Deiveson Figueiredo end Mr. Olivis’ chances of holding a title with a straight right bomb. Note that Figueiredo had missed championship weight(125lbs) and was unable to collect the title after his TKO win. Benavidez has stated that he was concussed after this fight, and has made it apparent that he wants to return the favor to the uncrowned Flyweight king.

                                         Value plays

Carlos Felipe(7.8k-DK) is making his UFC debut, 6 of 8 fights are KO/TKO wins with the other 2 being 3 round decision wins. Im hoping for a quick KO in the first round before his opponent Spivak gets a hold of him and threatens with the submission…. Which is very possible.

Kelvin Gastelum(8.2k-DK) is almost criminally undersized for the middleweight division at only 5’9”. But what comes with this is a low center a gravity for his opponent Hermansson to deal with. If Gastelum can keep this fight from going to the ground, and imposing his upper body strength to distribute haymakers; we could see a TKO from the burly TUF alum… and that’s upside i'm willing to bet on

Joseph Benavidez(7.2k-DK) I think will right the ship and find a way to stay away from Figueiredos’ power. Looking back at the first match-up, its apparent that Joseph Benavidez knows how to handle this kind of situation. And with Deiveson Figueiredo looking GAUNT at the weight cut, driving this fight into later rounds will benefit Benavidez toward a Championship Crowning by Decision

Other fighters im on:

Marc Diakiese, Roman Dolidze

GOOD LUCK FUCKERS!
