What Is A Blessed-Happy Man- Ps. 119-1-8- ---1. A man of great character -v. 1-3---a. He is blameless---b. He defends God's testimony ---c. He seeks God earnestly.---d. He does not sin against God. ---Only Christ alone has perfectly walked in God's way, He is the only one who is blameless---'For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.' 2 Cor 5-21--'For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.' Heb 4-15---Only Jesus can fully obey God's law, and observe His testimony---'I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.' John 14-31--'And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.' John 8-29--'And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.' Phil 2-8-----Only Jesus is able to seek God with His whole heart---'I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge- and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.' John 5-30--'For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.' John 6-38----Therefore, the only one who can save us from our sin is the sinless God-man-one who is fully man, as we are, but one who is fully God, so that His payment for our sin can satisfy the infinite demands of God's justice against our sin.- -Bruce Ware----2.
