After the Prophet ? and his companions emigrated to Medina, Allah revealed laws with which Muslims must abide by so that they may live together peacefully. This S?rat serves as a prime example of such intricate laws that detail not just how people should behave with one another, but how they should speak and think about each other.

This lesson emphasises the duty that it is for every Muslim to create reconciliation between two disputing parties. If we are to idly sit by and spectate, then this action may haunt us when we are the ones who are involved in a dispute.

The best example of brotherhood we have is that of the Sahabah (May Allah be pleased with them). They partnered with each other and gave up years of fighting one another so that they may become true Muslims. This was such a brotherhood that even Allah boasts of it in the Qur'an. We must understand that brotherhood is not just a slogan where we refer to each other as 'brother' or 'sister in Islam' but rather it should be ingrained in our lives. This lecture does much to inform us on how to bring about true brotherhood.
