In this episode of Shift, I chat with Marc Stoecker - a Learning and Development Specialist & a coach - who has created a life of service through his coaching career, helping individuals overcome obstacles that get in a way of getting where we want to go. We chat about his experience as a coach and what drove him to pursue coaching & how peer coaching helped him as well in his individual career growth as well. About Marc: Marc Stoecker is a Learning and Development Specialist with 20 years of combined experience in training and development both instructor lead in the classroom and with online. He has a masters in instructional design from George Mason University, with a focus on online, experiential learning projects and content development.  He leverages multimedia development software in making his client's dreams a reality.

Marc holds two coach certifications: the Certified Professional Co-active Coach (CPCC) through CTI, and the Associated Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation. He's currently participating in another certification program focused on Positive Intelligence. Marc is currently coaching one-on-one clients from a variety of backgrounds and specializes in career development.  He is also developing and co-developing a handful of workshops on coaching and soft-skill topics with the goal of creating a suite of workshops, webinars and weekend retreats, all available upon request to be facilitated or co-facilitated. He considers himself a nextgen coach, feeling comfortable leveraging technology in his coaching and also loves injecting creativity into the process.

Marc helps his clients break through the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life, personally and professionally and get critical insights to get unstuck and achieve a more fulfilling life.

About your host:  Elena is a talent development specialist & an education advocate. She started her career in higher education, having worked across various institutions, departments and regions, followed by a shift to corporations - where she creates learning journeys, builds effective talent acquisition pipelines, and develops talent development programs. Elena has a strong interest in how we can use science - particular Behavioral and Neuro sciences - to help people learn effectively, expand their mindset and overall grow personally and professionally.

As an entrepreneur – Elena founded Bloom Youth - a tech education platform that prepares youth for the future - and co-founded Bessern – tech solution for productivity and well-being in organizations. When she is not leading talent transformation, she volunteers her time to help young students with their career development goals, as well as military veterans looking to make career transition to corporate jobs.
