Baylor volleyball's Lauren Briseño, Allie Sczech and associate head coach Joshua Walker earned gold with USA Volleyball's U21 Team in the 2023 NORCECA Pan American Cup, taking the title match against Mexico.
The gold medal match went USA's way with a 3-0 sweep (25-13, 25-16, 25-21). The U.S. Women swept their way through the tournament going 5-0 and not dropping a single set to an opponent.Briseño was named Best Receiver of the Tournament at the end of play, five other U.S. women earning accolades as well. In the gold medal match, Briseño was credited with 10 digs and nine excellent receptions.
