Why Is Marketing "Result Oriented"?

If you deal with marketing in your day-to-day life, you've probably heard that marketing is a "result oriented" thing. But, what do I mean by marketing being "result oriented"?

And this little tweak on the way you market your products or services can literally change how your customers perceive the value of your offer and increase the chances of people buying it.
