Dani covers the case that the Netflix show Unbelievable is based on. Marie was 18 when she was raped, due to the trauma it was difficult to remember exactly what happened. Because details changed each time she told her story and her foster mom thought she was lying for attention, the police didn’t believe she was raped. They dropped the case. Luckily, two badass detectives in another state are hunting a rapist, the same one who attacked Marie.
