In 1996 John McConnell the founder of Worthington Industries applied for an NHL franchise.  Once awarded he knew he needed the right guy to lead the franchise.  He tapped a Former NHL coach to become the face of the Columbus Blue Jackets named Doug Maclean.   This week Doug walks us through the formation and inaugural season of the Columbus Blue Jackets.  Hear all about the expansion draft, the NHL draft, Who he wanted on his staff, picking a head coach and so much more!


Doug also talk about what he's up to now since leaving Rogers.  This is a fantastic interview and one not to miss if you're interested in the business side of hockey, as well as what goes into running a franchise.
