Well, we’re here again with another episode about an ‘00s CW show about an exceptionally bright teen with a very close parental relationship and in a relationship with a rich boy named Logan. Plot twist: It’s Veronica Mars! In Kyla’s latest rewatch of our other fave CW series, she realized this teen detective show loves pop culture refs almost as much as the Gilmores, so we had to do some compare and contrast with how they’re used. We revisit some of our past refs—including but not limited to the Beatles, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Pretty in Pink, and This Is Spinal Tap—and find other fun crossovers between the series.
