Soccer Files: World Cup bids from the USA, Chapter 1 - a podcast by OSG Sports

The USA will host (along with Mexico and Canada) its second World Cup in 2026. Sepp Blatter has even mentioned the USA potentially hosting the 2022 World Cup in light of recent indictments surrounding the bribes during the bidding process.

1994 wasn't the first time the USA hosting the World Cup had been discussed. The USSFA (later USSF) expressed an interest in hosting the World Cup as far back as 1969. Here's part 1 of the history of World Cup bids in the US, taking us from 1969 through the beginning of 1980.
