Did over-aggressive Tiger Parenting cause Jennifer Pan to plot the murder of her parents, Huei Hann Pan and Bich Ha Pan?  This week on Solvable Mysteries we investigate the disturbing case of Jennifer Pan, a Canadian woman from Ontario accused and convicted of arranging the contract killing of her parents, leading to the death of her mother and the serious injury and maiming of her father.

On this week's show we dig deep into the disturbing and sad case of Jennifer Pan, whose parents high expectations for her led to a life of deceit and fraud.  After this fraud was discovered, her parents created even more strict rules for her to live by, and threatened to expel her from the family and cut her off financially if she did not comply.  These rules included no longer communicating with her boyfriend, who as a result moved on to a new girlfriend. The pressure and disappointment of the situation led to her crafting a plan to have her parents killed so that she would then inherit their assets, and be able to live a life free of their rules. We explore what happened in this case, and why.
