○ 1st and foremost, remember that these Fruits of the Spirit are all characteristics of God

• LOVE

○ Love- unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another, such as: the fatherly concern of God for humankind, brotherly concern for others, a person's adoration of God

○ We saved the best for last! Love is the culmination of all the fruit of the Holy Spirit. As I have been saying since the beginning of the series, these fruit are all characteristics of God's nature.

○ It is out of the revelation of God's love for you, that you can truly experience joy, and a peace that surpasses all understanding.

○ And out of that outpouring of God's love, you are empowered to love each other, demonstrating patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

○ Read John 3:16- For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

○ Read Isaiah 53

○ Read 1 John 3:11-24 (*16)

○ Read 1 Corinthians 13

○ I leave you with this:

○ Matthew 5:48- Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

○ God is the standard, not man, not your favorite pastor or Christian celebrity. God is the standard. And the standard is very clear.
