§ Verse 19: (NLT) "Why then, was the law given? It was given alongside the promise to show people their sins. But the law was designed to last only until the coming of the child who was promised.

§ Side note, verse 20: in Hebrews 6:13 it says "When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself", so when it says "but God is one" or "God did not use a mediator when he gave his promise to Abraham" like he did with Moses and the law, this is why
