Southern Sense is talk with Annie "The Radio Chick" and Curtis.  Informative, fun, irreverent and politically incorrect, you never know where we'll go, but you'll love the journey!  Southern-Sense.com

Bruce Henderson draws on personal interviews with surviving veterans and extensive archival research to bring this never-before-told chapter of the World War II to light. Sons and Soldiers traces their stories from childhood and their escapes from Nazi Germany, through feats and sacrifices during the war, to desperate attempts to find missing loved ones in war-torn Europe. It is an epic story of heroism, courage, and patriotism that will not be forgotten.

John Harper served 21 years in the Air Force. His final assignment was at Dover Air Force Base, where he served with the Dental Evidence Response Team at the Port Mortuary. He documented those years of service in "Among The Dead; My Years in the Port Mortuary." It details the years following 9/11 which involved forensics dental examinations on those killed in the Pentagon, and the thousands of fallen heroes returning from the battlefields of Iraq. He provides an inside look at how exposure to human remains affected the team, and their personal battles with post-traumatic stress disorder. The teams' efforts were always directed by dignity, honor, and respect.  Veteran's Crises Line 800-273-8255
