On this week's episode Maundo and I listen and react to a 1954 video entitled "The Secret of Selling the Negro." The Secret of Selling the Negro depicts the lives, activities, and consumer behavior of African American professionals, students, and housewives. A
Business Screen reviewer noted that the film focused on the “bright positive” aspects of the “new Negro family.” The film was created in partnership with Ebony and Jet magazine, in cooperation with the United States Department of Commerce. The purpose of the film is to encourage racist white business owners to set aside their racist misconceptions and get to the money. In the 40's and 50's black families fled the Jim Crow south and moved north and west to take advantage of job opportunities that didn't involve sharecropping.

Maundo and I react to the clips and also go in depth to discuss the aftermath of Nipsey Hussle's death
