Only our false self has something to lose.

"Life is in a dance between our true and false selves." says Richard Rohr

Using my notes from a talk by Richard Rohr and some of my own added reflections, today I discuss the authentic self (hidden in the Beloved) and the false self (what we need for life in certain ways, but what is oft misunderstood as one's true identity).

This helpful perspective shift can bring more serenity into your heart and life.

Also discussed: Thomas Keating's Boat Exercise / parable.

As we cultivate the space for awareness of this interior condition, we can experience a peace the world (society) cannot give us. We can have heaven within that no one can take away.
