This week, Ryland and Charlie kick off their month long FEAR⁴ series for the spooky season. And this year, the fellas decided to focus on ZOMBIES. Specifically the Romero Zombie. As we take you on a chronological journey through the original Romero Dead Trilogy throughout October. And the first stop is the OG, The Grandaddy of them all. The film that birthed the modern zombie, 1968's NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD directed by the man himself. RIP. And for this discussion, they brought Movie Encyclopedia and FB Movie group admin for the Super Serious Movie Club Gang, Sean McCord. They discuss narrative, impact, and legacy as well as give a history of the movie zombie before Romero got his hands on it. Also they play a double feature game highlighting some non-Romero zombie faire. Hope you love zombies, cuz they got a lot more coming down the line.
