When I was in my late teens I had stage where I wanted to be a Buddhist monk, to leave and head to a monastery. Very quickly what I began to realise was that my life here is not supposed to be locked away from society. The world is my mirror, the situations I find myself in and people I encounter are necessary for me to meet myself and evolve.

What I see so often today is spiritual people desperate to escape their own pain. Wanting aliens to come, of Joe Biden, or all manner of ideas of ascension, so they can go someplace nice. I think these people will only be dragged through the fire until they realise the grief and pain they feel in their lives is not because of the state of the world but because they are avoiding their own pain rather than meet it and integrate it.

Many of us have come here to be in the world, to be in society, to be the "lighthouse" as Dolores Cannon says, to shine our light and allow that frequency to change others. But first, we need to integrate our own inner pain, and also not be trying to escape both our pain, and our reflection, the world around us.
