Rick Stroud on the Buccaneers are prepared to use the franchise tag on Shaq Barrett before today's deadline at 12pm when free agent can start talking with teams about a new contract. This news means QB Jameis Winston will become a free agent and can begin negotiations later today with other teams. This doesn't mean it won't sign with the Bucs but they will be talking with Tom Brady, Teddy Bridgewater and maybe others before that happens. Plus the NFL's new collective bargaining agreement was ratified by the players meaning there could be 14 playoff teams this season and a 17-game schedule in 2021.
