Sunday July 14 will not be a day that's easily forgotten. How can it? When it had the longest and possibly top two most thrilling Wimbledon men's final of all time, contested by the grass court king Roger Federer and modern great Novak Djokovic?

And what about the Cricket World Cup final between England and New Zealand that was tied after 50 overs had been bowled for either team? It then went to the super over and still nothing could separate the teams. And so England won by the most dubious of technicalities.

The was a glut of other sports on the go at the same time on the same Sunday as Lewis Hamilton made Formula One history and Dylan Frittelli stole the show at the John Deere Classic. And off course, the Africa Cup of Nations giants separated themselves in the semifinals as Nigeria lost to Algeria and Senegal ousted Tunisia.

It was a crazy day and one we look back on fondly,

We also capture the Springbok mood as the national men's rugby team begins its first steps towards the Rugby World Cup 2019 trophy in Japan, when they take on Australia at Ellis Park on Saturday. We hear from Bok head coach Rassie Erasmus about his plans to split the squads into the traveling and non-traveling contingent.
