Church’s Immigration-Themed Nativity Scene - a podcast by American Pastors Network

Recently a church in the Boston, MA area had their nativity scene on the front yard, they placed the baby Jesus in a cage (instead of in a cradle) to show support for open borders. Some of the parishioners in this church support the statement as a legitimate expression of religion to influence law while others were angry over the depiction of Jesus in a cage. Is this a legitimate way to attempt to influence public policy?
