How does Israel observe Holocaust Remembrance Day? How serious an observance is it?

God instructed the Jews in the Old Testament that when they went into the land that the fathers and grandfathers should regularly instruct the children and grandchildren and remind them of the bondage of Egypt and God’s Divine hand in freeing them. How do Israel’s leaders today seek to ensure that the younger generations do not forget the Holocaust and God’s deliverance of the Jews regathering in Israel?While the Holocaust is remembered for the slaughter of 6 million Jews, there were millions of others murdered as well. What lessons should Christians and the Church consider in regard to the Holocaust to teach our young people in regard to this event and the unfolding events of the day?
