There is again a movement afoot to rid our nation of confederate monuments and/or any monument that might have any relationship to slavery. Even statues of Christopher Columbus have been torn down. Additionally, there are rumors of attempts to remove the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial over their supposed"racist"overtures. Is it wrong to purge America of its history, even the negative parts?
