Israel has taken out another plane on the ground at the Damascus airport claiming more Iranian weapons on board. Russia has pledged to move in sophisticated S-300 anti-aircraft missiles to Syria. Because Iran is deeply embedded in Syria almost any effort against Iran involves Syria and therefore Russia. Will Iran back down? Will Russia permit Iran to back down? Are we standing on the threshold of conflict with Iran and as John Bolton said if Iran attacks,” There will be hell to pay”?
