Jesus (though God and the Son of God) prayed to His Father in the Garden prior to the crucifixion and asked that perhaps His Father would determine a way that redemption could occur without Jesus having to suffer on the cross. Then he prayed, nevertheless, not my will, but thine be done. Why should Christians close all our prayers to God the same way as Jesus?
