Brian and Shelby Maticic decided to open a theater where artists could explore acting, directing, writing, designing, and apparently conceiving a child.

We sat down in the house of their theater in downtown Glendale to discuss why it's important for theaters to work together, how they find new works to support, and why things are better when they're scrappy.

This weekend is the last chance to see the annual Miscast Concert, Aug. 25-26 at 7:30 PM.

You can also catch their next mainstage show Whisper Sweetly, as well as the Theatre for Young Audiences show The Time Machine, both opening the weekend of Sep. 15

Brian's next show Depend on Me is opening shortly after on Oct 6, and you can catch the in-house improv team Results May Vary every 2nd Sat and 4th Fri.

Details on all these shows, as well as information on their ShowGo service and opportunities for stage management and board postitions, can be found at brelby.com
