This is episode 22 with today’s guest, Catie Disabato.

Catie is a creative writer and novelist living in Los Angeles. Her debut novel went out in May 2015 titled “Ghost Network”, which is a story of a pop singer who went missing and the pursuit to find her. Catie discovered her passion in writing at a very young age and has decided to pursue this career. She got a degree in creative writing and followed this path.

“I’ve always wanted to be a writer ever since I was a kid.”

On this episode, Catie shares her journey on how she became a writer and how she keeps herself motivated. Writing a novel takes months or even years to accomplish - and for the Ghost Network, it took over 5 years to be published. She shares the process in writing the novel and the inspiration behind its creation.

“I feel like I am my work in general, but I identify with the process of doing the work more than any single piece.”

This is an interesting episode that will surely bring out the creativity in you. She gives tips on how to complete the marathon of a novel and how constructive criticism helps improve you as a writer.
