Hey little humans, I’m Norma Jean and welcome to Stay Wild!
This is episode 25 with today’s guest, Sydney Weiss.
Sydney is a host, creator, and most importantly, a joy seeker.
She is a lawyer passionate about people, connection, the environment, and creating real social change for our world.
“Joy is the process of connecting, of meeting new people.”
On this episode, Sydney talks about being bullied on the playground and not being able to express herself fully because she was afraid people might not like what she has to say. She also talks about the time, when she was studying for the bar, she sent her body into overdrive - which ultimately led her to getting and sick and having appendicitis. It was a most challenging time, but she got through it.
"By showing up for yourself in whatever moment it is, it sets the example for someone else and they feel compelled to do it too. And before you know it, you have this ripple effect - this domino effect - of people around the world deciding to stand up and stand tall for their truth.”
Sydney is the force behind the Seek The Joy podcast, which was inspired by a bracelet that said just that: “Seek the joy.” The podcast contains messages of joy, empowerment, and having the courage to step into your vulnerability.
