In this episode I'm joined by Simon Elliott (@simon_D_Elliott) from Schrödinger to talk about what computer simulations can teach us about the chemistry of ALD at the atomic level. The discussion starts with some introduction and example of how the ALD deposition works at the smallest scale, too small for the normal analytical technique to analyse.
Some discussion about simulations are performed and the computer hardware necessary. As usual we did not manage to get too deep into some particular topic because we need to keep the podcast in a good listening time but we will probably come back on the topic in the future.
Next week we will take a break from ALD and change the topic but we will be back with a guest from the industry to see the other side of the technology.
And as usual follow us on twitter @STG_podcast and share this episode around, I'm sure there are people that would like it.
Find us also on PocketCasts, iTunes, Spotify and probably in your favorite podcast service!
