Hello to you Wyzgas and Simpsons listening in Gaithersburg, Maryland!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

As a pediatric  hospital nurse I cared for many seriously ill kids and their families. Then it hit close to home. In early January 2020 my very young great niece London was diagnosed with B cell leukemia. Here she is thriving some 2 years later. But how? In part with Hope for Henry.

Hope for Henry helps children and families confront the challenges of serious illness with innovative, scientifically tested programs that help hospitalized kids keep to their medical plans and thrive. Since 2003, more than 70,000 young patients have received help to cope with their diagnoses and treatment so they can do what they need to do to get better.

Click HERE to watch a VIMEO of a Hope for Henry Gala. At minute 23:20 London’s mom, Rose - herself an oncology nurse - speaks about the value of Hope for Henry for London and their family.

On Saturday May 7th, 2022 beginning at 8:30 AM Eastern Daylight Time, London, family members and friends will be running a Hope for Henry 5k to Make a Kid’s Day race on the C&O Canal. But, here’s the cool part! If you can’t be there physically you can join virtually. To join the race, in person or virtually, click HERE to register for London’s Sugar Bombs team:

Let's go! Virtual runners have 48 hours to run or walk their 5k (3miles) wherever and however they would like. I’m registered! Let’s lace up our runners and get on out there to Make a Kid’s Day!

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!
