Hello to you listening in Nashua, New Hampshire!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Maybe like me you recognize that our work is ourselves. We are the work and the work is us. We identify with how we show up in the world. How we show up is also our identity. No wonder we might feel scared to put our work out there. Especially as a creative or entrepreneur. Offering ourselves to the world can be scary and might serve as an excuse to hold back.

One of my very earliest story mentors was Doug Lipman of Story Dynamics who taught us a short song which was sung in a round with each line repeated 3 times: “What I have to offer is what’s uniquely mine. What’s uniquely mine is that which makes me different. That which makes me different is what I have to offer.”

Practical Tip: Keeping the lyrics in mind consider that your work - your identity - is a tall, cool drink of water. People are thirsty to drink what you have to offer. Who are you to hold it back?

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!
