I was feeling pretty low the other day. Maybe it’s the ongoing COVID uncertainties, the dark weather we celebrate during our Pacific Northwest winter, a lack of belonging, or maybe opportunities that have yet to manifest.

I stopped my walk on a bluff over-looking Holmes Harbor and there below me in the water I saw two Canada Geese some distance apart but paddling toward each other. They met, turned as one and headed back to the flock resting in the low tide shallows. Just then I felt myself smile, spirits lifted, I knew I could and would stay the course.

Practical Tip. When you’re feeling like there’s no hope for it - no matter the reason - stay the course. If you’ve come to the end of your rope tie a knot and hang on because that’s the moment the tide will turn. What you’re looking for is looking for you. It will arrive from where it is. How do I know? I don’t. It’s a mystery, but it never fails.
