Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday.

Imagine this: about a week ago a small envelope from the UAE passed through customs on 6 December 2021 and traveled half way across the world before landing in my mailbox. Inside the Customs Declaration packet was a dainty pair of earrings. No note. No explanation. No nothing.

My dear Canadian friend and story galpal, Michelle, examined the earrings over a Zoom call. Being familiar with that part of the world and jewelry she suggested I subject the earrings to the magnet test to find out what they were made of. Seems to be pink or rose gold.
