Hello to you listening in Ordu, Turkey!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Yes, I’m aware that today is national Black Friday, a time to join a frenetic holiday shopping spree for stuff we probably don’t need or want but it is part of our consumer culture. How about if we gently resist that urge to buy?

Our local Lutheran church posted this message on its outdoor billboard: “To put everything into perspective begin to number your blessings ... and keep on going until there are no more to number.”

I don’t care which store - online or on land - you go to, but the secret to life won’t be found in more stuff. But, you might find it here: “Something to do, someone to love, and something to hope for." [Alexander Chalmer]

Story Prompt: What memorable gift were you given that didn’t come from a store? Who gave it to you? How come you remember it? Write that story!

Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have a story.

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, follow, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time! Remember to stop by the website, check out the Services, arrange a Discovery Call, and Opt In to stay current with Diane and Quarter Moon Story Arts and on LinkedIn.
