Hello to you Lesley Osborn listening in Ocala, Marion County, Florida

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Once upon a time, long before man walked the Earth, the Dog Nation decided to elect a leader. Under the full moon of a summer eve they gathered in a clearing in the woods. One by one each dog stood up and told the others why he (or she) should be elected leader.

Greyhound said she could run the fastest. The Dog Nation agreed Greyhound was a very fast runner!

Bulldog said he had the fiercest growl. The Dog Nation agreed that Bulldog was a fierce growler!

Hound Dog said he could sing the best. All the dogs were good singers but they agreed it wasn’t a party unless Hound Dog was singing!

All night long the Dog Nation howled and barked and woofed about what to do; but they could not agree on who to elect as leader.

Finally, little Chihuahua stood up on a log and said, “I have an idea. We should elect as our leader the dog that doesn’t smell bad under its tail.” All the dogs agreed that this was quite fair.

The Dog Nation is still without their leader; but, if you watch dogs meet up they circle and sniff each other. Why? They’re looking for the leader that doesn't smell bad under its tail.

Story Prompt: What have you learned from leaders who let you down? Smelled bad under their tail? How did that make you the leader you are today? Write that story!

Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have a story.

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!
