Hello to you listening in Gurugam, New Delhi, India!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories from Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Thoughts on Thursday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

As I walk the snowy woods on my island I am reminded that goals, clients, contracts, income, even podcast plays are only a singular measure of how successful I’ve been this year.

Instead I’m asking myself who did I lift up, set free from their negative thoughts, invite to join in the circle. When did I take time out for a mindful walk around the lake, pick up the phone and call a friend, or even do something quite silly? When did my decision to set aside my righteous, opinionated, judgmental self make life a bit easier for someone else?

I keep walking past these legacy trees that have witnessed so much evolution. And that’s the point, isn’t it? We are spiritual beings living a human existence and trying our best to walk ourselves and each other back home.

Question: As the year winds down what marks your truest success?
