Hello to you listening in Orange Walk, Belize!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Thoughts on Thursday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Still deep into Oliver Burkeman’s book, Four Thousand Weeks, Time Management for Mortals, I am keenly aware of choosing to live one’s own life, right here, right now.

From the writer Carol Cassella: “You’ll make a lot of choices in your life - some like mine, some different. But you can’t know who you are unless you know who you are not. Meet your limits and overcome what you can. On your own.”

From Rumi: “And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?”

It’s high time to live your life, not your parents’, your ancestors’, your bestie’s. Why? Because it will take too much wasted effort to figure out how to do it their way instead of your way. So, maybe it’s taking you longer than you think it should to figure it all out; still, it’s a very good use of time because it’s your own life. Own that!

Question: What can you say you own living your own life?

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!
