Hello to you listening in Jablonne nad Orlici, Czech Republic

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Thoughts on Thursday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Maybe like me you have spaces in the year when you are not overly busy. In fact, you might be underly busy. Perhaps your reaction is to scramble to be productive. But productivity is not always related to action.

What if there’s another valuable way to use the underly busy times?  Amos Tversky, an expert of decision making, wrote, “The secret to doing good research is always to be a little underemployed. You waste years by not being able to waste hours.” [Amos Tversky — An Amazing Man]

Practical Tip: Think about this for a moment. What’s the rush? There is time to devote to day dreaming or staring out the window while giving our wonderfully creative imaginations time to breathe, show up, solve a problem.

Question: What would be so wrong about giving ourselves permission to be a little underly busy? How might that notion play out in your world?

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, follow, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!
