Hello to you listening in Chandigarh, India!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Time Out Tuesday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Here on the island the sun is still shining, the temperatures in the high 70s, unusually dry for this early autumn season although the trees are shedding leaves, folks are readying their gardens for colder weather, and soon there will be the familiar sight of us in our wool coats and rain boots. I paused in my walking to feel the leaves brush by me on their gravitational dance toward the forest floor. A few lines by the poet David Ignatow stirred in my memory:

I wish I understood the beauty in leaves falling.

To whom, to whom are we beautiful as we go?”

Whomever you are and wherever you are perhaps pause a moment, take a time out from what is occupying you, distracting you, busying you, and ask yourself: to whom, to whom are we also beautiful before we go?

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!
