Hello to you listening in Istanbul, Turkey!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Time Out Tuesday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

The splendid green leaves of summer are slowly giving way to the more subtle golds and russets of fall. At higher elevations you might find vibrant reds and purples. No matter the season or the reason I find myself most at home among the trees. Perhaps they beckon to you as well to come, stay awhile.

This from Mary Oliver:

"When I am among the trees,

they give off such hints of gladness.

I would almost say that they save me, and daily.

I am so distant from the hope of myself,

in which I have goodness, and discernment,

and never hurry through the world

but walk slowly, and bow often.

Around me the trees stir in their leaves

and call out, “Stay awhile.”

The light flows from their branches.

And they call again, “It's simple,” they say,

“You too have come into the world to do this,

to go easy, to be filled with light, and to shine." [Mary Oliver, poet]

Question: Where do you go to be filled with light and to shine?
